I have chosen The Drawing Room at Carcosa Seri Negara (CSN) to host our Blessing Ceremony. This is a place where dad often speaks about. He used to refurb sections of this property, and is still proud that this is a hotel that housed Queen Elizabeth 2 during her visit to Malaysia many years ago.
Carcosa Seri Negara is a historical place near the Lake Gardens KL. Currently a hotel, it is owned by the Malaysian Government, which includes two colonial mansions, one named Carcosa and the other Seri Negara. The building is pretty old, however, is still dazzled with an English interior including the chandaliers, afternoon tea tables, floral print curtains and sofas. The staircase in Carcosa is especially pretty. Not forgetting its charming wrap-around verandahs that overlooks the garden. A good place to indulge like an English indeed.
We've made a reservation with CSN. Sharon, one of the sales managers, is very friendly and welcoming. I have been liasing with her through phonecalls over the last few months. Finally get to meet her, and of course, to inspect the place. The Drawing Room is kind of small, and honestly, it will be a challenge to try to have our wedding procession due to its very short hallway. Nevertheless, it's a unique place to host a small and intimate event.
Now, we are just waiting for our day to come!
